THIS COMING YEAR THE NAACP WILL BE INVOLVED IN SOME VERY
INDUSTRIOUS ENDEAVORS. THE FIRST BEING THE INTERVENTION IN THE
MOVING OF THE GRAVES OF THIS HISTORIC BLACK GRAVE SITE FROM THE
1800'S LOCATED OFF OF HWY 85 IN RIVERDALE
    Below are just a few of what is left of some of the graves that have been
descreated at the site. There were TWO GRAVE YARDS that have been divided by
EARTH MOVERS and these are the remnants of what is left. Many graves were only
marked by ROCKS and some had illegible headstones but this is what they looked
like. A short blip was shown on Channel 2 News briefly last week.

This was the only headstone that had
legible writing on it. All the others that
were still there did not have any
identifying  writing on them
